After seeing it, we decided not to pursue it, but from that initial contact Mr. Birkey became the agent who helped us. Mr. Birkey, a long-time builder, on several occasions explained to us matters that helped us evaluate the condition of properties. Since we had never before purchased a home, we were grateful for the explanations, advice and warnings that he gave us regarding the negotiation process, contracts, inspections, payments, etc. Mr. Birkey tried to understand our desires and needs and went out of his way to accommodate our particular situation. Without being pushy or intrusive, he offered helpful tips and gave us clear explanations as we checked out a series of homes. He replied promptly to the questions and concerns we communicated to him by phone or email. We found Mr. Birkey to be straightforward and honest and fair.

We came into meeting Miya completely blind. We were looking to relocate to the South Bend or southern Michigan area from Massachusetts. Our son had used a Cressy & Everett before and we thought, let's try. Since we could only look at houses over a weekend, Miya arranged for a Michigan licensed agent to show us houses on Saturday and she took us around Indiana on Sunday. When we first met Miya, we knew we had made the right decision because it was very easy to communicate and develop trust with her. The house we ended up purchasing was a last minute decision to go see. Miya got on the phone and within minutes we were heading to see the house.
