Do you have an overall weak signal, or do you have one or two dead spots? Your mobile phone will give you a rough idea of the signal strength around your home. - Oral Histories
The library's oral history collection preserves the stories of South Bend and St. Joseph County residents, presented in their own words. "South Bend Stories" were recorded in 2015 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of South Bend. They include stories from longtime WSBT radio personality Jon Thompson, who shares his account of surviving and reporting on the blizzard of 1978. "Michiana Voices" includes memories from Ben Johnson, an administrator and presidential aide who talks about attending Riley High School and living in South Bend in the '50s and '60s, as well as those from activist Glenda Rae Hernandez, who speaks about discrimination in housing and other topics.
