    February is Black History Month and the perfect time to explore Brain Liar Books, the only Black female-owned bookstore in South Bend. Established in 2018, this unique bookstore offers kids, teens, and adults a huge selection of books on various topics related to black history and culture. For a personal experience, drop into the bookstore and browse the shelves or join the Emergent Strategy Series Book Club on Mondays at 7 pm to discuss current readings.   • Make South Bend – 2228 Mishawaka Avenue
    Make South Bend is a creative place where you can participate in arts and crafts, book a special party, and shop for various goods made by local artists. It's a fun destination where kids and adults can explore their creativity and learn new skills. Upcoming exhibitions include The Performing Media Festival, Stop Motion Animation, and Call For Entries 2024 which invites all artists living in St. Joseph County and surrounding counties to enter.   • The Morris Performing Arts Center – 211 North Michigan Street
    Located in the heart of downtown South Bend, the Morris is a listed landmark on the National Register of Historic Places and consistently listed among the top theatres worldwide. Of course, it's a beloved South Bend destination for locals and visitors. The 2024 Broadway Season includes some favorite family musicals like Disney's Aladdin, Little Women, Mamma Mia, and Stomp. Make it a great year and head to the Morris for a special night out.
