Warm Up at Michiana's Coziest Cafes on National Cocoa Day | Cressy & Everett

Our real estate agents love how hot cocoa warms them up while satisfying their sweet tooth. Join them in celebrating National Cocoa Day on Friday, 12/13 with a steaming mug of chocolate goodness at one of these wonderful cafes and shops near South Bend homes for sale and St. Joseph homes for sale.

    Who could resist a place named Chocolate Cafe? The shop makes a perfect pit stop for a warming cup of exquisite hot cocoa when you're out and about in downtown St. Joseph. You probably won't be able to leave without some malt balls, truffles, cookies, and other sweet treats. Products are made locally at South Bend Chocolate Company, a family-owned business founded in 1991. Get a glimpse behind the scenes with a tour of their 58,000-square-foot factory. Chocolate Cafe is open 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. weekdays, 8:30 a.m. - 10 p.m. Saturday, and 8:30 a.m. - 9 p.m. Sunday.

  • Caffe Tosi - 516 Pleasant St., St. Joseph, MI 49085
    Enjoy the Continental ambiance of Caffe Tosi, a waterfront restaurant located on the aptly-named Pleasant St. Under the supervision of Chef Roberto, the charming Italian-style cafe has been serving food and drinks made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Luscious hot cocoa is part of an extensive beverage menu that includes espresso, cappuccino, and other gourmet beverages. The food menu showcases Italian favorites such as frittatas, pizza, paninis, and lasagna. Hours are 7 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Monday, 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. Saturday, and 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. Sunday.

  • Chicory Café - 105 E. Jefferson Blvd., Suite 103, South Bend, IN 46601
    Laissez les bon temps rouler at Chicory Café, which is bringing a touch of the Big Easy to Michiana. They invest the same quality and care into their hot cocoa and espresso-based drinks as they do the rest of their food and beverages. In addition to Cajun and Creole classics such as jambalaya, po'boys, and muffulettas, the dining menu offers several vegetarian, gluten-free, and kid-friendly options. With events such as Open Mic night, trivia contests, and live music, Chicory Café is a fun spot to meet up with family and friends. Hours are 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday, 7:30 a.m. - 9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Sunday.

  • Mason Jar Cafe - 210 Water St., Benton Harbor, MI 49022

With four flavor options, the cafe raises their hot cocoa game to an elite level. Choose from hot cocoa with marshmallows, hot cocoa chai, Andes Mint hot cocoa, and Nutella hot cocoa.
